Our Co-op

Fishing is a way of life on Little Cranberry Island and has been for hundreds of years. Founded in 1978, our Cooperative is made up of 26 men and women ranging from 18 to 85 years old. We are located on Little Cranberry Island, which is the eastern most un-bridged year round island community in the United States.

Little Cranberry Lobster is wild caught and sustainably harvested. Our lobsters thrive in the cold, nutrient rich waters off the rugged coastline of Mount Desert Island, in Down East Maine. Nurtured in this pristine environment they are recognized worldwide as one of the sweetest and most desired of all lobsters.

Catch Right. Live Right.
